Terms of use

Plain language, deliberately. If anything here is unclear, that is a bug — tell us.

Using Ael

Ael is an AI assistant. You may use it for personal, lawful purposes. Do not use it to break the law, to harm anyone, or to generate material you have no right to distribute.

You are responsible for what you do with what it tells you, and for keeping your account credentials to yourself.

Not professional advice

Ael is not a doctor, lawyer, accountant or therapist, and nothing it produces is professional advice. It can be wrong, and it can be confidently wrong.

For medical, legal and financial questions, treat its output as a starting point and check it with someone qualified. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line — Ael is not one, and should not be the first call.

Your plan and limits

Paid plans are sold on a token allowance over rolling windows, not on a message count. The allowance is shown in Settings and the meter in the app shows what you have used.

If you hit a limit, the app will say so and offer a plan that covers your usage. We do not bill overages: you will never be charged more than the price of the plan you chose.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time from Settings, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not delete your account or your conversations — those are separate, deliberate actions.

If a plan is not working for you, contact us within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it. We would rather lose a month's revenue than keep someone who is angry about it.

Availability

Ael depends on third-party model providers and will occasionally be slow or unavailable. We aim to keep working through failures automatically, and to tell you plainly when something is degraded rather than quietly answering from nothing.

Changes

We may change these terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Continuing to use Ael after a change means you accept it.
